Postcard From Heaven

So much for hiatus till after prelims - they start Monday. Haha damn, I couldn't be more unprepared & no one believes me.

Brother & Mum just went home Thursday <3

New Year/Christmas was good, first one with the whole family together since about 2 years ago. We haven't seen each other for so long/spent much time together. Even when I go home we're all so busy with other commitments, simply sitting down to a meal together is difficult. But this visit was so much more than I asked for - I'm so glad for that.

Saying goodbye to 2006 was bittersweet.

06 was A Good Year. Especially for academics (though alot of that focus I had is pretty much down the drain at the moment). & I've grown so much. Friendships have changed, old ones reinforced, new ones established. Some on hiatus. Family's... different. I suppose now that we're older we know so much more about what's going on.

& I'm glad to say that there've been no regrets :) Come to think of it, I'd be an ungrateful brat if I said it was horrible.

But with 07 comes this whole load of things (& changes) I really don't want to welcome. Ahwell, time to accept how very, very sheltered Singapore was.

Happy happy new year all, especially sec4s & J1s/2s this year. Hang in there, work'll be over soon :D
